Mark your calendars Nerds, because today is the start of the Animal Crossing Daily Challenge!
Starting today, and going all the way to July 8th 2013 is the Animal Crossing Daily Challenge! For those who aren’t aware, please read this post far all of the details.
But for those who know, lets get started.
Today is the start of a year long quest. A challenge, if you will. Where I must move into the town of Battleton. Stepping off the train, I was greeted with a raccoon, a new house, and 18, 800 bells of dept. A fairly simple task on the surface, but there are many renovations done to the home after time, which means a much larger dept to pay off over a LONG time. Not to mention the many goals i must also complete. This will not be an easy task to feat.
The picture above features Battleton. The host to this challenge. It’s a fairly standard town, nothing too out of the ordinary from a glance, but it’s actually a pretty interesting town. The bridge of acre C-3 is actually a 2-part bridge with a small island in the middle of these two brides. It’s not something you see often in the town, and it’s really nothing to get excited about, but it’s a nice quirk to Battlton. Other than that though, there isn’t much else special about this town.
Here you can see all of the animals that Battlton started out with. A great bunch of people if you ask me. Bob is really fucking cool, and Camofrog, and Iggy are both up there as well. Kiki is pretty cool too, but Gwen and Patty are just… meh. It’s a great starting line-up of people and I can’t wait to do some REAL interacting with them. The first time you play the only thing they do is tell you how to play the game (ie. Press A by a tree to shake it). It doesn’t give you a chance to get to know them, but I’m very sure that will change.
Once I got a pretty good feel for the town i proceeded to do all of Tom Nooks boring fucking tasks. Delivering items, writing letters, making bulletin board notes, and planting flowers. It’s all so monotonous. But, it must be done. And it did in no time at all. Taking no longer than 30 minutes, I managed to escape the clutches of Tom Nook, and then immediately proceeded to buy a shovel.
I didn’t manage to get a whole heck of a lot done the first day, as it is mostly a large tutorial, but by the end of my play-session I came out of the experience with a new Retro Stereo, A Black Pawn, a Radiator, a Wicker Cabinet, and a new Gyroid. Starting tomorrow, I’ll begin to collect bugs, fish, get to know the townsfolk, and much more. Starting Animal Crossing is always the same, but once you get past the initial threshold, each person experiences it differently.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for a brand new post, and next weekend for a new ACDC! (Animal Crossing Daily Challenge!) video update! Until then, keep coming back to the BattleGuys Website for lots of great blogs, videos, reviews, let’s plays, podcasts and much, much more!
